Meet the Team

Richie grew up working in the family business and learned from an early age how to best serve the customers at McKinney. He loves to test out all the products from the store and says, “It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it”. He graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1985 with a degree in finance and married his wife, Laura. They have 3 children, Gavin, Brady, and Courtney. Richie enjoys traveling and attending La Tech Bulldawg games with Laura. In the fall he looks forward to hunting with his family at the camp in Arkansas. He can often be seen riding his motorcycle around town.

Tommy has seen it all in the motorsports industry and has loved to watch it grow and change. He also likes seeing customers that he has grown to know over the years. He has helped build the McKinney brand into what it is today by setting great examples for others to follow. Tommy knows our industry very well, just get him talking about the Honda GL1800 F6B, he thinks it’s the BEST bike on the road right now. When he’s not managing the store, Tommy is out riding his bike, checking out a classic car show or spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Brady is a 3rd generation McKinney. Starting here at just 12 years old, he's worked in every department of the store. He still helps in all departments of the store but is mainly up-front managing major unit sales and our website. Brady has a true love for ATV’s, Side-by-sides, and Motorcycles. He hunts just about everything they have a season for in Louisiana and loves riding the back roads of Lincoln Parish on his Kawasaki KLR650

Purchasing his very first motorcycle from John McKinney many years ago, Jim fell in love with the industry and soon found himself a job here. Since then, he has sold thousands of ATVs, and worked in nearly every department in our store—making him extremely knowledgeable of the products we sell. On the weekend he can be found hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his Honda 420 Rancher with his boys.

Allen came to us from the logging business. He has sold thousands of ATV’s, side by sides, mowers, and power equipment. Not only selling them but also enjoying them with his family on the weekends. Never one to be cooped up inside for very long, Allen can often be found hunting, fishing, or working on his land at home.

If there ever was an LSU fan, or a Saints fan, or a Yankee fan…well Justin is the #1 fan of all three. He’s always cheering on one team or another. He also enjoys ATV riding with his 2 girls often. Justin came to us with a long background in the powersports industry. One thing he likes about McKinney’s is the wide variety we offer in our ATV’s & side-by-side on the showroom floor and the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Tracy came to us from the automotive industry. Tracy says she loves her job and even more so the people here at McKinney Honda! On the weekends she loves to get muddy on the trails with her Kawasaki Teryx. When she’s not touring the United States and Canada on the back of a motorcycle, she can be found at church, in her garden with her dogs, or cheering on the Saints.

Emily assists customers with applying for loans and handling cash and finance sales within our sales department. Her favorite thing about McKinney is the emphasis put into making each customer feel like they are the top priority. She enjoys spending time with her family while hunting, shooting, working in their yard, chasing kids from sport to sport, or having fun out on the lake.

Keeping everyone and everything straight is what Libby has done for McKinney Honda for many years! She does everything from our payroll, insurance, title work…the list goes on and on. When she is not here, she’s shopping with her daughter April, hitting up a concert or setting sail on a cruise. She can often be found on the weekends riding with her husband in their side by side

Donna does an amazing job of keeping our money in order. She’s a busy bee at work and home. She’s never still for long, hitting the gym up after work and being a “weekend warrior” on the weekends. She always has a project going on. When she’s not doing DIY projects, she loves to spend time with her 2 grandchildren

Beverly is an all-around employee. You’ll find her answering the phones, greeting customers, or doing office work behind the scenes. This lady makes the best apple dumplings in town! Beverly enjoys working in her flower beds much more than she enjoys housework. She is a social butterfly, especially in the groups at her church. She is married, has two sons, and three grandkids.

Keeping all the parts in order and in stock is Kerry. She does a lot of vital behind the scenes work for the parts department. Kerry spends a lot of time ordering all of our different parts straight from the manufacturers and suppliers. On the weekends she can be found living life to the fullest with her husband. They are always hunting, fishing, swimming, or playing with her grandkids.

Joey comes to McKinney’s with over 10 years’ experience in powersports and the parts department. He is a natural fit in our parts department. Joey grew up riding and fixing dirt bikes, he is a big Honda guy – He says quality is always 1st with Honda. Joey is an avid guitar collector too. He’s always on the search for a guitar that can be cleaned and tuned up to sound beautiful. If you ever need a part, Joey is useful with his extensive knowledge.

Emori has spent her life around UTVS and ATVS and working on them so there’s no wondering why she’s great at what she does here at McKinney. She enjoys the company of coworkers and helping customers get the parts they need. In her off-time Emori enjoys hunting, fishing, mud riding, and spending time with her husband and son.

Micah worked in the parts field before becoming a McKinney employee. He says McKinney is awesome because coworkers make it fun, and the managers are always available to help with any situation. When he’s not on the clock, Micah can be found relaxing and deep into a good Netflix show.

Johnathan enjoys meeting and talking with customers while writes up what they need done to their equipment to get back into working order. He calls the customers with a diagnosis and when their equipment is ready to be picked up or delivered back to them. He says coworkers make it a lot of fun to work at McKinney. When Johnathan is not here, he’s often found on a Honda, whether it be his 1985 3-wheeler or his 420 Rancher. Johnathan is a family guy and spends a lot of his time in the yard and with his wife and kids.

Growing up, Leonce worked on a farm which has led him to a career in being a Jack of All Trades. He is very thorough in everything he does. At McKinney you can find him in the front office of our Service Department. He has fun on the weekends by hitting the trails on his land in Union Parish. He says yard work is for the birds, but our Stihl equipment and Hustler mowers make it easier.

Wes started out in our delivery truck running all over North Louisiana. Now he can be found often behind the service desk assisting customers and making sure everything is running smoothly for the service department. He has made so many customers happy over the years. When Wes isn’t at McKinney Honda, he can be found having a great time fishing with his family. Wes says that he throws every fish back—while his wife on the other hand keeps every fish she catches. He’s a big fan of NFL and college football so you know where he will be in the fall.

Another longtime employee here at McKinney Honda is Ricky Caldwell. Within the store he has worked in sales and now in service. He is usually in the back sharpening saws, working on trimmers, and tinkering with this or that. Ricky is the far most authority on all things power equipment. On the weekends Ricky can be found hunting, gardening, at church or camping in Arkansas. He also likes to spend time with his two sons and grandchildren.

Jeff is an absolute expert on the mechanics of an ATV. He's attended Honda Pro School and Kawasaki Schools. He loves working here in a relaxing environment. Just talking to Jeff is relaxing. He’s a laid-back kind of guy. When he's not in our Service Department he's shooting in USPSA pistol competitions...which he says he does just for fun because he's not any good at shooting.

Harry loves the laid-back atmosphere here at McKinney. He’s usually back in our warehouse keeping everything organized and in stock for us. He’s also the main forklift operator on site. Harry is a proud board member of the NELA Wish I Could Foundation. He has helped hundreds of children with life threating disease by making their wishes come true. He also helps put on the Marengo Swamp Ride every year for Wish I Could. He enjoys riding his Kawasaki 800 Teryx when he’s not in the McKinney Warehouse.

Side-by-sides have become more and more popular in the past few years, which keeps Robbie busy. He’s always working on this or that in the Service Department. He loves how personable McKinney’s is and how we are a family-owned business that puts others first. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family. He can also be seen admiring the motorcycles on the McKinney Show Room floor—but his wife said he can’t have one.

If you see the McKinney delivery truck, chances are you'll see Jeff too. He is constantly on the road to get customers their deliveries as fast as possible. Jeff says he enjoys meeting and talking with new people while delivering their units. His days at home are spent hunting, fishing, or spending time with his wife and kids.

Derrick can be found in the shop working on motorcycles, side by sides, or helping in our sporting goods department. He says his favorite thing about the store is that everyone who walks through the door is treated like family. When he's away from the shop Derrick enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters and target shooting with his friends.

Curt has not been with us long but with a lifetime of being mechanical and working on all types he showed up here ready to work. In his off-time Curt spends time riding his Honda 4 wheelers and motorcycles. He also enjoys camping and hunting. As busy as he sounds, he is still sure to spend time with his wife, two kids, and four grandkids!

Shannon is in the service department administration office. She processes warranty claims, takes payments, and schedules pickups and deliveries. When at home Shannon spends time with her two kids and grandchild. She says meeting new customers is the most interesting part of her job!

When you see Chase, you’ll always see a smile. He is passionate about his job and says he is thankful for the fun, hardworking atmosphere, and the feeling that everyone enjoys coming to and being at work. Chase works hard to ensure all new units are assembled in a timely fashion and any accessories are properly installed. Chase also has a very busy schedule after work. He enjoys blacksmithing, leatherwork, hanging with friends, free studies of anthropology and paleontology, and playing bass in a jazz band.

For years and years Tony worked in our Service Department, working on mainly motorcycles and attending all the Pro Schools for Honda and Kawasaki. He was one of the first registered Honda Technicians in the state. He would help in the Gun Department here and there during busy seasons. A few years ago, he made the move to Firearms Manager. He enjoys working with his friends here and being in a family like environment. When he’s not behind the Gun counter he can be found watching NFL Football or NHRA Drag Racing or grilling up one of his legendary award-winning steaks.

April has been around the McKinney Store all her life. She grew up helping on the McKinney Spring and Fall Open Houses—which she has been present for over 45 of our semi-annual open houses. She worked in the store part time while she attended Louisiana Tech, after graduation she took on the duty of Merchandise Buyer and Inventory Manager. When she’s not getting things done at the store, April can be found mud riding, at a concert, deer hunting, or spending time with her family and dogs.

Hunter just can’t stay away from McKinney’s for too long. Even after he graduated from Louisiana Tech with a Construction Engineering Technology degree, got hired on with an Oklahoma Oil based Company in West Texas, he still comes back to the store to work when he can. He says it’s like working with family here, and he gets to work with something he’s passionate about—guns. Hunting and fishing are what he does in his spare time or spending time with his family.

Lauren can be found at the cashier’s desk in our Sporting Goods Department checking out our customers or stocking up the new arrivals of apparel. She also competes in the TECA Team Penning Championships, coming in 2nd in the finals with her horse Quixote. She also enjoys fishing, ATV riding, working horses, catching a live band on the weekends or volunteering for the Lincoln Parish Fire Department. Lauren is married to Austin, and they have a precious baby girl, Sunny.

Beau is a Ruston native! He loves Ruston and all it has to offer. One of his favorite things to do in Ruston is to hop on his mountain bike to run the course at Lincoln Parish Park. Which is one of the best and hardest in the south. Beau Lewis has many hobbies besides mountain biking…photography, art, guitars, motorcycles, ATV’s…but one thing he is passionate about is firearms. If you need education in the tactical defense area Beau is the guy to talk to at McKinney Honda.

Seth comes to us after graduating from Louisiana Tech in 2017! Growing up in Ruston he and his father have always shopped here. He says one of the best things about McKinney’s is the great service you get and that we always try to help our customers, which is why he wanted to work here. When he’s not in our shipping area, Seth is out on the water in his boat fishing and hunting. Seth also enjoys skeet shooting as one of his favorite past times.

James has been working with bows since he was a kid. It’s been a hobby of his for a long time. He says the job is easy when you love what you do! He also enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

From a young age Jacob has had a passion for archery that has continued throughout his life. He has been a member of several state champion archery teams through 4H and the national Louisiana team. He currently shoots for the Louisiana Tech archery team while studying forestry. When Jake is not at work, it's guaranteed he can be found with bow in hand shooting with family or at local tournaments.

If you know Johnny, then there’s no wondering why he enjoys being behind the gun counter at McKinney! He’s a talker and a great storyteller- just ask anyone who knows him. Johnny enjoys meeting new people, helping customers, and seeing longtime friends when he’s at work. On the weekends he can be caught flipping burgers on the grill, working in the yard, hunting, riding his motorcycle, shooting targets, and teaching concealed carry classes.

Alexis is a student at Tech and works part time as a cashier in our apparel and footwear. She enjoys being a part of the McKinney family atmosphere and is thankful she has a great place to work that works around her school schedule. When Alexis is not at work or school, she’s often found doing homework, (a lot of it), playing pool with her friends, visiting with family, or making her one-of-a-kind beautiful baby blankets. She has two dogs that are spoiled rotten and act like it!
